Animal Communication

Liz Murdoch founded Dog Stories because of her work as Animal Communicator specializing in tuning in, connecting and finding out what dogs what people to know.  Her conversations with the dogs led to the awareness that dog people need a place share their stories with each other.

Liz is skilled at helping unleash stories that matter most to the dogs. Liz has a honed ability to tune in to animals and understand what they are thinking. Yes, she actually talks and asks animals questions, and gets answers.  She relies on her ability to build trusting connections with her client animals, receiving images, hearing words, getting a knowing sense and even feels sensations a dog might be experiencing like nausea, stiffness or even pain in a specific area.

Also host of the popular Talking with the dogs!™ podcast, Liz is passionate about dogs, going on adventures with them, and finds joy in helping dog people better understand their pets. With a Masters in Education from Teachers College at Columbia University, Liz also teaches Animal Communication, is a popular guest in elementary school classrooms, at special events and is available for speaking engagements.

Liz fell in love with her first puppy when she was seven. By the age of nine, she became a natural in dog training. Liz and her black cockapoo competed in their first county fair and won the blue ribbon in dog obedience.

After recovering from a traumatic car accident as a young adult, Liz was inspired to help others in similar situations. Liz adopted Sam, a black Labrador puppy from the Humane Society in Texas and decided to train  Sam towards becoming a certified Pet Partners Animal-Assisted Therapy team. They passed the test easily and spent years working at a traumatic injury rehab center and regularly visiting The Children’s Hospital in San Antonio, TX.

After Sam passed away, Liz fostered Honey, Teddy and Wolfgang.  Adopting all three of them, Liz realized she had a full house. Wanting to support rescue organizations led to her work as an animal and home evaluator in Northern California.

Liz further developed her skills at intuitively understanding different dogs and their situations. She studied with animal communicators enabling her to fine tune exactly how she can most effectively help those who love and work with dogs, including trainers and veterinarians.

Her mission is sharing her knowledge with others so they can maintain a happy, healthy relationship with their dogs, plus learn to use and trust their own intuition, in and out of the doghouse!
